Compostion:

Each tablet contains magnesium hydroaspartate – 250 mg and potassium hydroaspartate – 250 mg. Inactive ingredients: magnesium stearate, talc, potato starch, sugar, talc and sucrose.

Mode of action

Aspargin contains easily absorbed magnesium and potassium salts of aspartic acid, which is an important structural element of human organism.

Aspargin is magnesium and potassium supplement. Magnessium and potassium deficiency may cause disturbances in cellular metabolism and membrane transport and may affect muscle contractility, neutral transmission as well as decrease platelet stability.

Indications:

  • cardiac arrytmias, especially when caused by magnesium or potassium deficiency,
  • prophylactic use in coronary heart disease and/or high risk of myocardial infraction,
  • convalescence after myocardial infraction,
  • convalescence after infectious diseases or surgical procedures which resulted in magnesium and potassium depletion,
  • neutralization of side effects of long-term therapy with digitalis glycosides or diuretics (e.g. thiazides, furosemide).

Contraindications:

Renal insufficiency, urinary tract infections, hyperkalemia, hypermagnesemia, atrio-ventricular block, myasthenia gravis.
