CALCIUM GLUCONICUM ESPEFA

Drug composition

Each tablet contains calcium gluconate monohydrate – 500 mg (equivalent to 44.7 mg of calcium ions) and the additives: sodium carboxymethyl starch, talc and magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological description

CALCIUM GLUCONICUM is a pharmaceutcal reducing calcium deficits in the organism.
Calcium is a constituent of bone tissue, neural cells, muscles and cell membranes. It activates numerous enzymes and plays a major role in the conduction of nerve impulses, muscle contraction, blood coagulation and kidney function. This element is eliminated mainly with faeces.
Calcium can cross the placenta barrier, and is also present in human milk.
Physiological amounts of calcium are necessary for normal development of foetuses and newborns.

Indications

As a dietary supplement to prevent calcium deficits. For supportive therapy with drugs having anti–inflammatory, anti-effusion and anti-swelling properties.

Contraindications

Hypersensivity to any component of the preparation, hypocalcaemia and/or hypercalciuria, acute renal failure.
